Please join all home educating families from across the state at our annual FHE Rally in Jefferson City, MO, on February 12, 2008. This year celebrates the 25th anniversary of Families for Home Education.
The Rally is a time to meet your legislators, allowing them to know you appreciate their efforts in protecting your rights as a parent in our state. FHE will provide a program in the Rotunda at 12 noon. This includes speeches and performances by home educated students and adults, as well as short greetings from legislators.
If your homeschool choir, band, orchestra, or ensemble would like an opportunity to perform at this year’s rally, please leave a message on the new FHE phone line. The number is 877-MY MO FHE. Or send an e-mail to Deana Haines with RALLY in the Subject line.
Additionally, please help us provide a mural of home school success by sending contributions to FHE Rally, PO Box 742, Grandview, MO 64030 or sending digital attachments to Deana Haines.
Contributions may be:
- digital or hard copy photos of homeschool students studying, performing, going on field trips, etc.
- programs from homeschool concerts, graduations, plays, recitals, etc.
- news articles about home education
- awards or recognitions received by home educated students
PLEASE keep your originals. We will not be able to return items to you.
There will also be gifts for the legislators for home school families to distribute. Pick up the gifts anytime after 10:30 AM for distribution.
